Scott Thompson

Scott Thompson rejoined the Kentucky Wesleyan Athletics Department in September of 2021 as the Interim Head Coach of the men's and women's bowling teams.

Thompson, the first Head Coach of the programs, started coaching at Wesleyan in 2017. The teams first started competing in the 2018-19 academic year. In their first season, the women captured the Valpo NCAA Crusader Classic Championship and earned a USBC Sectional berth in Smyna, TN. The 2019-20 season saw more success. The women were Valpo NCAA Crusader Classic runner ups, Saints Invite champions, and the Lewis University NCAA Flyers champions. The men were consistently in the top 10 of most of their tournaments, including a runner up finish at the Saints Invite. The men earned a USBC Sectional berth, but it was cancelled due to COVID-19.

Coach Thompson's two year South Warren high school (Bowling Green, Ky.) coaching highlights included boys team state semifinalists, state boys individual champion, and state runner ups. Thompson is currently a property manager for Jmar Property Management and the Coordinator/Broadcaster for the Warren County Public Schools Sports Network.

Thompson resides in Bowling Green, KY with his wife Tammy. He has two daughters and one grandson.
