Dane Kreischer was named the Head Women’s Golf Coach at Kentucky Wesleyan College in June 2026.
Kreischer aims to create a dynamic, supportive environment where student-athletes feel empowered to thrive. His holistic approach focuses primarily on athlete improvement, academic achievement, personal growth, and the cultivation of life skills.
“I want to create a team culture that is both competitive and enjoyable, where each student-athlete feels empowered to reach their full potential, both as golfers and as future leaders," Kreischer said. "My goal is to compete for national titles."
Kreischer, a native of Convoy, Ohio, and a graduate of Crestview High School, brings a unique blend of elite military leadership, a proven track record of immediate collegiate success, and a passion for student-athlete development.
Before entering the coaching profession, Kreischer served 12 years for the United States Army. He spent a decade of his military career within the prestigious 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne), a timespan that is deeply intertwined into his approach to team dynamics, discipline, and high-stakes execution.
After launching his coaching career on the baseball diamond, Kreischer made a seamless transition onto the golf course. During his first season at Kent State Tuscarawas in 2025, he served as both the Head Women’s Golf Coach and an Assistant Men’s Golf Coach. Kreischer led a Golden Eagle to a 5th-place individual national finish on the women's side, then helped guide the men's team to a 4th-place finish at the USCAA National Championships.
"We are excited to welcome Dane Kreischer to the Kentucky Wesleyan family,” Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics Jason Vittone said. “Dane brings a tremendous passion for student-athlete development, a strong coaching background, and a commitment to building meaningful relationships with his players. We believe he is the right person to lead our women's golf program into its next chapter."
"This hire represents another significant investment in our student-athletes,” Vittone continued. “By providing dedicated head coaches for both our men's and women's golf programs, we are enhancing the experience for our student-athletes and demonstrating our commitment to the continued growth and success of Kentucky Wesleyan Athletics."
