Kentucky Wesleyan College Athletics

Sarah Phillips, MS, ATC, enters her first year as an assistant athletic trainer at Kentucky Wesleyan College. Prior to arriving in Owensboro, Phillips spent the last 12 years of her career as an assistant athletic trainer at Illinois College in Jacksonville, IL. There she helped oversee all 24 intercollegiate sports teams, but primarily worked with men’s and women’s soccer, women’s basketball, and softball. 

A native of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Phillips recently earned her master’s degree in Sports and Health Sciences from American Public University. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in athletic training. At UWSP, Phillips was a member of the women’s hockey team and three-time academic all-conference selection.
