• Saw action in 40 games and started in 36
• Had 29 hits and two homeruns.

2017:

• Saw action in 42 games, making 35 starts in the outfield
• Posted a .222 batting average with three doubles, two triples, and 11 RBIs
• Recorded a career-high four hits on April 15th against Davis & Elkins.
• Went four for five with two RBIs in the Panthers 12-5 win over D&E. 

Rend Lake College: Started two seasons in left field and right field…coached by Tony Etnier. Junior (2016)—Batted .330…collected 64 hits in 194 at bats…tallied 31 RBIs…registered 13 doubles…had one triple and one home run…scored 42 runs…stole five bases…played 58 games…started 54 contests. Sophomore (2015)—Hit .224…had 11 hits in 47 plate appearances…produced three doubles…drove in eight runs…scored eight runs…started two of 18 games played.
 
Johnston City High School: Four-year starter at catcher and the outfield…coached by Trevor Clark. Senior—2014 All-Black Diamond Conference honoree…batted .385…led the Indians to the Regional Championship with a 27-6 record. Records—Holds runs scored in a season and career…also most RBIs in a career…finished in the Top 10 in batting average. Other sports: Four-year letterwinner and three-year starter at quarterback…2011 All-Black Diamond Conference…four-year letterwinner and three-year starter at guard for the basketball squad…named 2013 Defensive Player of the Year.
 
Personal: Born November 26, 1995 in Carbondale, Illinois…son of Roy and Missy Tanner…had three brothers…father played No. 1 singles and doubles at Rend Lake where they won the 1979 Conference Championship.
