2006-07: Transferred from Middle Tennessee State University in December 2006 after his freshman fall semester…sat out rest of season as a redshirt…signed with the Blue Raiders and head coach Kermit Davis, Jr., in November 2006.

High School: 2006 Lexington Herald-Leader and Louisville Courier-Journal first team all-state selection… averaged 18.2 points, 9.1 rebounds, 3.1 blocks, and 1.8 assists in 30 games and 29 starts during senior season…shot 67.3 percent from the field and 70.4 percent from the free throw line…earned Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer and Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches Third Region Player of the Year Awards…led the Aces to a 25-4 record and the runner-up spot in the All “A” Classic as a senior…named to the Kentucky All-Star basketball team that is annually selected to play against the Indiana All-Stars…recorded single game career highs of 29 points, 18 rebounds, 10 blocks, six assists and three steals…a 2006 McDonald’s All-America nominee…two-time honorable mention all-state as a sophomore and junior…averaged 13 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 3.4 blocks in 29 games and 28 starts as a junior…named first-team Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer All-Third Region three straight seasons…selected to KBCA first team All-Third Region team as a junior and senior…three-time all district honoree…guided the Aces to three consecutive 9th District championships…help set the school record for wins twice in as many seasons (24 in 2005, 25 in 2006)...three-year starter…three year career totals include 1,134 points, 745 rebounds and 277 blocks…holds the game, season and career record for blocks…also has the seasons record for best field goal percentage…finished fourth in career scoring…teammate of KWC guard Travis Owsley…coached by Mike Orr…listed as the sixth-rated prep prospect in the state of Kentucky by Rick Bolus, and was considered one of the Bluegrass State’s most dominant interior players in 2006...two-year track letterwinner.

Personal: Born John Woodford Ivey on January 31, 1988 in Owensboro… son of Jim and Linda Ivey…has one brother Bo and two sisters Hayden and Mary…business administration major…father was a four-year football letterwinner for two-time NCAA Division II National Runner-Up Western Kentucky University as a slotback…coached by his father on the Owensboro Catholic track team…brother, Bo, was a member of the track squad at Eastern Kentucky University for two seasons and was the state high school pole vault runner-up.
