Tyler Hochstetler joined the Kentucky Wesleyan College Department of Athletics in April of 2018 as the assistant men's basketball coach.

Hochstetler spent four seasons alongside Cooper at Thomas More College as the Associate Head Coach.  The Saints brought home back-to-back regular season and conference championships during the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons.

Hochstetler served as the defensive coordinator while recruiting, coordinating summer camps, breaking down film and creating strength and conditioning programs for the team.  While at Thomas More, Hochstetler coached six All-Conference members including the Player of the Year.

While at Thomas More, Hochstetler was the head coach of the men’s golf team for one season where he was named the 2016-17 Coach of the Year by the President’s Athletic Conference.  Hochstetler mentored three Top Ten All-Conference honorees and led the team to five tournament championships including the second conference championship in school history.

Prior to Thomas More, Hochstetler was the head coach of the freshman basketball team at Ryle High School in Union, Ky.  In three seasons he compiled a record of 58-26 along with three district titles. 

Hochstetler also spent two years as the head coach of the Kentucky Royals AAU team located in Union, Ky.  He worked with kids ages 13-15, leading the program to four league championships and two tournament titles.

Hochstetler graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in 2012 before obtaining a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Thomas More in 2017.
