Joe Krupinski

Joe Krupinski became the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Kentucky Wesleyan College in June of 2023. A veteran basketball coach, Krupinski’s career spans over 25 years. He will assist with player development as well as recruiting and game-planning responsibilities. 
 
Krupinski comes to Wesleyan after a successful career at Midway University where he started the men’s basketball program in 2016. Under Krupinski’s guidance, the Eagles qualified for the conference tournament three times in his last four seasons. The Eagles started to gain traction in the NAIA over the final two years as they held a 32-22 record with a 20-15 mark in the River States Conference. 
 
During the 2015-16 season, Krupinski was the head coach at Saint Catherine’s College where he coached two All-Conference members en route to advancing to the semi-finals of the conference tournament. Saint Catherine closed in 2016.
 
Krupinski was also the head coach at Lyndon State from 2008-2014. During the 2010-11 season, Krupinski was named North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Coach of the Year.  Lyndon State qualified for the post-season four total years during Krupinski’s tenure.
 
In his career, Krupinski has made stops at American International (2014-15), Saint Michael’s College (2001-2008), Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (1999-2001), and Springfield College (1997-1999) as an Assistant Coach.  Krupinski helped Springfield College win three consecutive conference titles as well as qualify for the NCAA Tournament each season.  
 
Krupinski has a bachelor's degree in Sports Management from Springfield College in 1997. He earned his master's degree in Education in 1999.  A native of Worcester, Massachusetts, Krupinski now resides in Owensboro.
