Troy DeWald was hired as the new Head Coach of Men's and Women's Bowling prior to the 2023-24 season.
DeWald comes to Kentucky Wesleyan after spending the last few years as the head coach at Ephrata High School in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. Las season at Ephrata, his team was the 2022-23 Section II champions. He also coached the second place finisher in girl's state singles, had a state finalist in boy's state singles, and the team notched a 44 pin improvement from year one to year two. DeWald also has collegiate coaching experience, as since 2019 he has been the head bowling coach of the club team at Millersville University. Prior to his time at Millersville and Ephrata, DeWald was the head coach at Manheim Township High School in 2016, and the head coach of the junior program at Berks Lanes & Clearview Lanes for 17 years.Â
DeWald is a USBC Certified Coach and earned his Bachelor of Science in Sports Management in 2021 from Southern New Hampshire University, and his Associate of Arts in Education in 2004 from Reading Area Community College.Â
