    Volunteer Assistant Coach
Tamara Petrin joined Kentucky Wesleyan College bowling team as a Volunteer Assistant Coach in the fall of 2020. She will assist will many facets of the program including player development and gameday operations. 

She has spent the past 10 years developing her knowledge and skills to help people of all ages discover, develop and apply their uniqueness and personal passions to contribute to the world in whatever way is meaningful to them. She is passionate about meeting people where they are and walking alongside and coaching them through their barriers and individual battles.Currently Petrin works as a Curriculum Specialist at YouthEntrepreneurs.

Tamara has been bowling nearly her entire life and credits the sport of bowling to much of her personal development– how to communicate, how to be a teammate/coworker, how to have tough conversations with love and compassion, and most of all – how to wade through waters of adversity with a growth mindset. She is equipped and on a mission to help today’s young people recognize the importance in developing human relationships and the dignity and worth of each person.

Petrin started her collegiate bowling career at Pikeville University before moving on to Wichita State in 2012-13. She was a part of the Shockers development team. 

Petrin graduated in 2014 Magna Cum Laude with a bachelors degree in Liberal Arts and Science. She earned her Masters of Social Work in 2018. She is also a licensed Master Social Worker.
