Alfonzo Browning was named Kentucky Wesleyan's Offensive Coordinator in March of 2022 after spending the previous three seasons as the pass game coordinator for the Panthers. 

Browning has coached six All-Conference players in during his time with KWC, including quarterback Wiley Cain, who won the G-MAC Elite 23 award in 2021 and was named the President of National SAAC during his junior season. The Panthers offense has flourished under Browning, ranking 2nd in 2021 (255.5) and 3rd in 2019 (242.5) in the G-MAC in passing yards per game. 

Browning came to Wesleyan in December of 2018 following an 11-year coaching career at Jeffersonville High School in Southern Indiana, where he finished as the Head Football Coach and Assistant Track & Field Coach. Borwning started at Jeffersonville as the wide reciever's coach in 2007, and was named the offensive coordinator in 2011. As the offensive coordinator for the Red Devil's, Browning offense averaged 32.5 ppg, 275+ passing and 160+ rushing yards per game. In 2014 he was named the head coach at Jeffersonville, where he stayed until his departure for KWC. One of his players, Ian Francisco, went on to have an impressive career with the Panthers following his career at Jeffersonville.

Prior to his time at Jeffersonville, Browning was the wide receiver's coach at Jeffersontown High School under then head coach Buddy Berry. Browning coached at J-Town from 2002-05. 

Browning was an incredible player himself, having had a long and successful career on the field. He began as an All-Conference performer at the City College of San Francisco before transferring to the University of Kentucky for his final two seasons. While with the wildcats he played both WR and RB, leading UK in touchdowns, receiving yards, and catches for the wide receivers group both years. From 1993-95 Browning was primarily a practice squad member of his hometown San Francisco 49er's, where he won a Super Bowl in his first year on the team. From 1995-97 Browning played in NFL Europe with the Barcelona Dragons, before heading to Canada to play from 1997-2001 with both the Montreal Alouettes and the Toronto Argonauts.

A native of San Francisco, California, Browning is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work.
