High School: 2011 all-district and all-area performer at Christian Academy…four-year letterwinner and three-year starter on the offensive and defensive lines…collected 31 total tackles and three sacks as a senior…led the Warriors to a 13-2 record and the 2011 Tennessee State Championship…in four seasons the school posted a 44-10 record…coached by Rusty Bradley.

Personal: Born March 6, 1993 in Knoxville, Tenn…son of Eddy and Jay Ann Powers…has one brother, Dylan, and one sister, Gracy…his father played safety for the University of Tennessee while leading the Volunteers in interceptions as a sophomore and recently retired as a NFL referee…his grandfather, Clayton Powers, played for the Hall of Fame Coach Paul “Bear” Bryant at Kentucky and won two state titles as head coach at Pikeville High School…his uncle, Gordon Powers, played safety for Austin Peay...business administration major.
