    Head Cheer and STUNT Coach

Tori Metzger was named the Head Cheer and STUNT Coach at Kentucky Wesleyan College in June 2026.

"I am thrilled to join Kentucky Wesleyan College to continue the tradition of the cheer program and build on the established foundation and culture," Metzger said. "At the same time, I am honored to introduce STUNT to KWC and expand the competitive opportunities for female student-athletes in one of the fastest growing sports in the nation."

"I want to thank [Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics] Jason Vittone for trusting me with this opportunity," Metzger continued. "I am so excited to be a Panther and work with the amazing student-athletes at Wesleyan."

A native of Van Wert, Ohio, Metzger graduated from Ball State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations before earning her M.Ed. in Adolescent to Young Adult Education: Integrated Language Arts from Wright State in 2016.

Metzger performed and competed at Kim Hohman's DanceWorks in Van Wert and was also an assistant instructor while in high school. To begin her career, she coached sideline and competition cheer at Crestview High School in Convoy, Ohio, before moving to Eagle River, Alaska, and coaching at Chugiak High School. While there, she rebuilt and expanded the program from three kids to 25 in just three years. Metzger returned to Ohio and served as an assistant coach at Dover High School for the 2025-26 school year.

"We are excited to welcome Tori to Kentucky Wesleyan," Vittone said. "She brings tremendous passion for her sport and I'm excited to see where she can take our Cheer and STUNT program."

"This is a unique opportunity to start our STUNT program from the ground up, while growing and strengthening the cheer program," Vittone continued. "We feel fortunate to have Tori in this leadership role."
