Why I chose Wesleyan:

I chose Wesleyan because of the small and close community. I came from a small private Christian high school, so this community has made me extremely comfortable. In the short time I have been on campus, I have already built many friendships that have the potential to be long lasting. Another reason this college was right for me is because I am just 2 hours away in Smyrna, Tennessee. Being at Kentucky Wesleyan has allowed me to come out of my introverted shell and put myself out there into the world. It lets me see my family on weekends with just a short drive. I'm excited to see what comes out of my time at Wesleyan. Go Panthers!

It can be a Saturday night or even right after a late practice and she'll set up the shooting up and get some shots up, on top of her already scheduled shooting times.     "Mariah is someone who has decided to give herself the best chance at an opportunity because of how much she is willing to work when no one is looking. She is willing to go hard, is putting herself out there in a lot of uncomfortable situations, and is finding ways to continue to improve. Even though she wants to achieve, she is not afraid of making adjustments to how she is doing something. Mariah is able to make others really comfortable because she likes to laugh, doesn’t always want to be serious, and is willing to listen to everyone’s thoughts and ideas."
