ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Kentucky Wesleyan men's tennis team again split their two matches, falling to WashU before defeating Millikin on Friday.
Wesleyan had a thrilling match versus the Big Blue after losing to WashU to open their day. In doubles, twins Nick Stoever and Marc Stoever teamed up for a 6-4 victory on Court 1 and Adryan Taylor and Kade Eber partnered for a 6-4 triumph on Court 3 to claim the point for the Panthers.
Needing just three of the six courts in singles, KWC earned exactly that. Jose Ferrandis tallied another impressive win by the score of 6-1, 6-4 on Court 1 and Eber was right behind him with his 6-4, 6-0 victory on Court 6.
Wesleyan fell on the other three courts to set up the rubber match on Court 3. Marcos Tiferes battled to a 6-4, 7-5 win to bring home the 4-3 triumph for KWC.
Both the men's and women's tennis teams are next set to battle McKendree on the road tomorrow, Saturday, March 7th. Play is set to begin at 9:00 AM.
