PEPPER PIKE, OH – The Kentucky Wesleyan College women's tennis team shutout Ursuline College to open Great Midwest action on Saturday evening. The Panthers produced a dominate performance in a 7-0 victory over the Arrows.
The Panthers won the double points with a quick sweep of the Arrows.
Kameron Knight and
Ella Brown won the number one doubles match 6-1.
Anna Bongardt and
Angela Ho won at number two doubles 6-0. Wesleyan only gave-up three points in doubles en route to a 1-0 lead.
Knight also won here number one singles match 6-0, 6-0. Brown also earned a singles point with 6-0, 6-2 win at number four singles. Bongardt, at number two singles, shut-out her opponent in straight sets.
Angela Ho,
Baylie McCreary, and
Sara Osorio all dispatched of their respective opponents in straight sets. The win marks the Panthers second win of the season after a few close losses this Spring.
The Panthers will travel to Canton, Ohio on Sunday to face Walsh. The Cavaliers are ranked 49
th in the nation. The match is scheduled to start at 3PM CT.
