Morgantown, W. Va. – The Kentucky Wesleyan baseball suffered defeat in the series finale at Fairmount State on Sunday afternoon.
The Falcons went to work quickly, scoring three runs in the first and never looking back. The home team added one run in the second, two in the third, five in the fourth, and one more in the fifth.
Wesleyan loaded the bases in the top of the first but was unable to get a run across the plate and never had another runner in scoring position.
Colson Perry was responsible for the Panthers only hit on the afternoon. Rhett Dysholm and Elijah Stockton each worked a walk in the contest.
The Panthers return home for a weekend series vs. Findlay to open G-MAC play. Wesleyan will battle the Oilers in a doubleheader on both Saturday and Sunday, with Saturday's doubleheader beginning at 12:00 PM at Panther Park.
