Canton, Ohio – The Kentucky Wesleyan volleyball team fell 15-25, 25-15, 15-25, 25-18, 15-8 to Malone Saturday afternoon.
None of the five sets were particularly close, which made for an interesting back-and-forth as both teams continued to trade momentum.
In the fifth set, the Pioneers scored the first four points to grab a quick advantage. Wesleyan couldn't get any closer than that throughout the set, ultimately suffering another five-set loss to Malone.
Emmy Goering recorded her second consecutive double-double with 12 kills and 14 digs on top of two aces. Stella Kleffman had her season-best game with 13 digs, and Havanah John impressed with 10 kills and three blocks.
Ana De Sevilla-Acosta set a career-high with 38 assists on the afternoon.
Wesleyan finally returns home for a Panthers vs. Panthers battle against Ohio Dominican on Halloween. First serve is set for 6:00 PM and the game will be streamed live on FloCollege.
