Owensboro, Ky. – The Kentucky Wesleyan volleyball was defeated 10-25, 11-25, 18-25 on Saturday afternoon inside Jones Gym.
The Panthers finished the season at 0-26 overall and 0-15 in the G-MAC, while the Dragons finished at 13-13 overall and 7-8 in the G-MAC.
Wesleyan celebrated Senior Day prior to the game, with seniors Julia Kupper, Embry Burgess, and Anslee Hopewell were honored.
The first set was tied at nine after a Gracie Newton kill, but the Dragons then earned 16 of the next 17 points to win 25-10 and take a 1-0 match lead.
Tiffin opened the second set with a 9-1 run that put them firmly in control, and the road team maintained that lead on their way to a 25-11 victory and 2-0 match lead.
The Panthers trailed just 19-17 after a Tessa-Jo Allen kill in the third set, but similar to the first two, the Dragons used a 6-1 run to close out the 25-18 triumph and sweep of Wesleyan.
Grace Carter had a team-high seven kills in the match. Hadley Wolfe came in right behind her with five on top of three blocks and Allen had four.
Burgess totaled a team-high 14 digs and Allen racked up 13. Kupper logged 18 assists and nine digs on the afternoon.
