Volleyball drops two at Missouri S&T

ROLLA, MO - The Kentucky Wesleyan Volleyball team competed well, but fell 3-1 to Union (Tenn.) and 3-0 to Emporia State on Friday.

A shorthanded Panthers squad competed on Friday, but ultimately fell short in both matches. Ava Rebarchik led the way with 18 kills over the two matches, while Claire Lange matched her career high with nine kills against Union. Olivia Patton also played extremely well, tallying nine kills against Union and six versus Emporia State. Julia Kupper continued her strong play at the setter position with 34 assists vs. Union, while Camila Sandoval came in and notched ten against Emporia State.

Defensively, Rebarchik and Nicole Hughes each tallied five blocks, while Hughes and Embry Burgess notched 12 digs.

The Panthers will have two chances at redemption tomorrow when they take on Lake Superior State at noon and the host Missouri S&T Miners at four.
