DAYTON, OH - Kentucky Wesleyan competed well, but the Cedarville Yellow Jackets outlasted the Panthers on Friday, taking down both the men and women by scores of 7-0.
On the men's side,
Zach Abrahamson, playing at #5 singles, played an extremely competitive opening set, barely falling 7-6 (8-6). The momentum shifted in the second set, as he fell 6-0. Playing at #3 singles due to a lingering shoulder injury,
John Thomas Hayden took multiple points off his opponent, but fell 6-3, 6-2 in the end. On the doubles side of things, the #2 pairing of
Adryan Taylor and
Connor Adams nearly won their set, falling 6-4 in a close match.
On the women's side,
Sophia Price played a strong match and took two points off her opponent at #2 singles.
Jade Jenkins, playing at #1 singles, also took a point off her opponent.
The Panthers will be right back at it tomorrow when they take on the Ashland Eagles in Wooster, Ohio. First serve is set for 12 p.m. CT.
