OWENSBORO, KY - Playing in the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational hosted by Visit Owensboro, the Panthers (2-4) competed well but fell in straight sets to both Northern Michigan and William Jewell.
Game One
Facing a high quality Northern Michigan (5-1) team, the Panthers kept things close, but ultimately fell 25-18, 25-22, 25-16 to their foes from up north.Â
Diana Wesolosky kept up her strong start to the year, leading the team with 10 kills.
Hallie McGuire (8) and
Ava Rebarchik (5) followed close behind her, while
Karrah Cron notched 23 assists.Â
Game TwoÂ
In their last match of the day, William Jewell College (4-2) took down the Panthers 25-21, 25-13, 25-18.Â
Wisconson-Parkside transfer
Hallie McGuire led the Panthers with nine kills, while
Karrah Cron handed out 19 assists and
Danielle Nelson recorded 12 digs.
The Panthers will be back in action tomorrow when they take on Purdue Northwest at 9 a.m. and Maryville at 5 p.m. Both games will take place at the Owensboro Convention Center.
