OWENSBORO, KY - After seven road games to start the season, the Kentucky Wesleyan Women's Basketball team finally were able to take the court at the Owensboro Sportscenter Thursday night. After a slow start, Wesleyan outscored the Ursuline Arrows 43-25 in the second half to come out with the 66-55 victory. Wesleyan was led by senior 
Jordyn Barga, who finished with 15 points and a monster 16 rebounds, a new career high. 
Wesleyan now moves to 5-3 (2-0 G-MAC), while Ursuline falls to 5-4 (2-1 G-MAC). 
The Panthers struggled from the field in the first half, shooting just 9-25 (36%) from the field and 4-12 (33.3%) from three. They were even worse from the free throw line, going just 1-6 at the charity stripe. Ursuline on the other hand shot 43% from the floor and an incredible 60% from behind the arc. Down by 10 late in the half, 
Jordyn Barga hit two straight shots near the end of the second quarter to cut it to a seven point game going into the locker room.
Down for much of the third quarter, Wesleyan came back to take the lead late in the frame. 
Cali Nolot scored four straight points before a 
Tahlia Walton layup gave Wesleyan a 40-39 lead, their first lead since early in the first quarter. Ursuline hit a three on the next possession and led 42-40 heading into the fourth.
Shiya Hoosier hit a three to give Wesleyan a 45-44 lead 2 and a half minutes into the final quarter, and the Panthers never looked back. 
Reeva Hammelman hit a three on the next possession, which was followed by a 
Shaylee McDonald layup on the possession right after that. The Panthers continued pushing, closing on a 14-6 run to take the game by eleven points. 
The Panthers shot 24-52 (46.2%) from the field and 7-24 (29.2%) from three. Wesleyan shot an incredible 61.5% in the fourth quarter alone. Ursuline shot 20-56 (35.7%) from the field and 7-18 (38.9%) from behind the arc. 
Cali Nolot led the way in scoring with 17 points, her seventh straight game in double-figures. 
Jordyn Barga finished with 15 points on 6-7 shooting, including 3-4 from three. 
Shiya Hoosier was the third Panther in double-figures, scoring 10 points on the night. Barga notched 16 huge rebounds while 
Shaylee McDonald dished out six assists. Hoosier also notched three steals in the contest. 
Wesleyan will be right back at home on Saturday when they host Cedarville in the first game of a double-header with the men's team. Tipoff is set for 12 p.m. CT.
