OWENSBORO, KY - The Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers honored their seniors against Tiffin on Saturday night. KWC honored Thomas Yarbrough, Kairus Washington, Jacob Shelton, Jackson Rape, Darryl Pointer Jr., Peyton Peters, Weston Merritt, Brennen McGuire, Zach Jones, Ramond Jackson, Jalen Humphrey, Ethan Holt, Tim Hicks, Nick Haddock, David Florence, Christian Ealey, Jatorion Dillard, and Wiley Cain before the game.
Wesleyan struggled in the game itself, falling 72-13 to the visiting Dragons. Wiley Cain connected on a 45-yard pass with David Florence in the second quarter for the Panthers lone touchdown of the game. Blake Vivrette scored Wesleyan's other six points thanks to two field goals.
Wiley Cain went 19-for-36 for 214 yards in the game. Senior Peyton Peters led the receivers with seven receptions for 88 yards. David Florence tallied four catches for 77 yards and a touchdown. Jatorian Dillard ran for 52 total yards while also catcihing five balls for 29 yards. Jalen Humphrey kept up his tremendous season with 11 total tackles. while Ramond Jackson came through with nine. Alonzo Daniel notched the team's lone interception in the game. Blake Vivrette's field goals were 29 and 39 yards.
Wesleyan closes out their season next week when they travel to conference leader Ashland to take on the Eagles. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. CT.
