COLUMBUS, OH - Ohio Dominican showed why they are one of the top teams in the conference on Saturday, taking down Kentucky Wesleyan 49-7.
Ohio Dominican moves to 5-3 (4-2 G-MAC) while Wesleyan falls to 2-6 (1-4 G-MAC).
ODU took advantage of a fumble on the first play of the game, scoring just six seconds into the contest. They never looked back from there, scoring 14 points in the first quarter, 21 in the second, and another 14 in the fourth to take the game 49-7. Wesleyan scored their lone points of the game thanks to a
Ja'Kobe North 11-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown in the second quarter.
Clay Games was 14-for-30 for 94 yards.
Landon Newman tallied 87 yards on 17 carries, while
Jatorian Dillard ran for 69 yards on 17 carries.
Brennen McGuire talliked three receptions for 30 yards.
Jalen Humphrey and
James Noble each grabbed six tackles, as well as one tackle-for-loss.
The Panthers will look to get back to their winning ways next week when they travel to North Canton to face the Walsh Cavaliers. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. CT.
