MASON, Ohio – The Kentucky Wesleyan College baseball team saw its season end on Friday afternoon at the Great Midwest Conference Tournament semifinals. The Panthers faced Tiffin for the sixth time in a week, this time falling 6-3.
Joseph Burke ended a historic career by breaking the G-MAC's all-time career RBI total (192).
The Panthers (24-16) scored quickly in the bottom of the first inning as a pass ball followed by an errant throw to third allowed
Lane Kennemore to score. The Dragons (28-15) tied the game and took the lead with a three-run top of the third inning.

Burke answered in the bottom half of the inning with a solo-homerun over the leftfield fence. The homerun stands as the 52
nd of his career and 191
st career RBIs, both G-MAC records. Burke then tied the game in the bottom of the fifth as he drove-in
Cody Bridges who got on base with a one-out single followed by a stolen base.
Tiffin swung the momentum back in their direction in the top of the sixth as they scored three times to take 6-3 lead. The Panthers threatened several times in the final four innings, but left six runner on base in those frames including seeing the game end with the tying run at the plate.
Burke finished the game four for five with a homerun and two RBIs. Bridges also collected two hits on the day.
