OWENSBORO, KY. – The Kentucky Wesleyan College women's tennis won its third match of the season on Wednesday afternoon. The Panthers defeated their crosstown rival Brescia University 7-0 at Moreland Park.
The Panthers (3-2) blitzed through doubles competition winning the number one and two matches 6-3.
In singles play
Liz Smith got the second point on the board with a quick 6-1, 6-0 win at number two singles. The rest of the team followed suit as
Lesleigh Lowman won in a tiebreaker as did
Ashton Frantz at the number one and four matches respectively.
Camron Blandford won the number three singles match 6-1, 6-0 while the Bearcats forfeited the final two singles matches.
The Panthers will open Great Midwest Competition by hosting Hillsdale College on Saturday morning. The match at Moreland Park is scheduled to start at 10 AM CT.
