Panthers Fall to Brescia in Final Fall Match

OWENSBORO, KY. – The Kentucky Wesleyan College women's tennis team concluded the fall portion of the schedule on Tuesday with a 4-3 loss to cross-town rival Brescia University. The Panthers posted a 2-6 mark in the fall as they prepare for the rigors of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference schedule in the spring.

The Panthers won the crucial double point with wins in both the number two and three matches. Camron Blandford and Lesleigh Lowman came out on top of the number two match with a 6-3 win. In the number three match Allie Mitchell and Jade Jenkins defeated Lauren Clements and Natalie Estes 6-3.

As the match moved into singles, the Bearcats took control. Brescia won four of the six matches to come away with a 4-3 victory and extract some revenge from the Panthers 4-3 win earlier this season. Lowman won the number match 6-2, 6-2 while Jenkins took the number six match 6-2, 6-2.
