OWENSBORO, KY. – The Kentucky Wesleyan College men's tennis team finished the fall 3-6 on Tuesday evening. The Panthers lost their final fall match of the season 6-1 to Brescia.
The Panthers navigated through doubles play, winning two of the three matches to take an early 1-0 lead. Wesleyan's top team of
Lucas Holder and
John Thomas Hayden defeated Joao Ponetes and Aleksa Stefanovic 6-2. In the number three match
Evan Morton and
Dylan McDuffee took down Juan Hernandez and Juan Tavera 6-2.
The Bearcats (3-0) bounced back in singles play as they swept through all six matches. Hayden dropped the number one singles match 6-1, 6-3 while Holder fell 6-3, 6-3 in the number two match.
Adan Cano lost in three sets at number six singles.
