OWENSBORO, KY - On a chilly fall day in Owensboro, the Ashland Eagles used a bruising rushing attack to spoil senior day for the Panthers by winning 17-0 in a grit-and-grind game. Prior the game, Kentucky Wesleyan honored 18 seniors who will be moving on after their time in a Panther uniform.

Throughout the course of the game the Panthers struggled to get any offense going, managing just eight first downs and 136 yards of total offense on the day. Ashland rushed the ball 50 times en route to 225 total rushing yards, compared to just 56 passing yards. Although the Panther defense stood strong for most of the game, the Eagles managed to break through for two touchdowns and a field goal.Â
JaKwon Roberts was 18-for-30 with 91 yards passing in the game.
Peyton Peters and
Chauncey Greer each tallied six receptions, with Peters going for 36 yards and Greer for 30.
Deonco Wilkerson rushed the ball 11 times for 46 yards.Â
Playing in his final game in a Panther uniform,
Devyn Bledsoe was a menace on defense, tallying 13 total tackles, including 3 TFL for 10 yards. His eight yard sack in the second quarter forced the Eagles to settle for a field goal.
Ramond Jackson notched nine tackles, while
Jalen Humphrey added eight.Â
