OWENSBORO, Ky. – Following a thrilling upset of the No. 1 seed on Tuesday night, the Kentucky Wesleyan College men's basketball team now looks ahead to their G-MAC Semifinal match up against the No. 5 seed Malone University. Tip off is scheduled for 7 pm CT on Friday, March 6 at the University of Findlay.
Tickets
The doors for the event will open one hour before the scheduled start time of each session. Friday's doubleheader will be one session.

Tickets for the games can be purchased at the door the day of the game or by visiting the Findlay athletic office on the second floor of the Croy Physical Education Center on Wednesday, March 4 through Thursday, March 5 from 10am-3pm.

Series History
The Panthers have won six of the eight meetings with the Pioneers including one meeting this regular season. Wesleyan was victorious 81-73 in overtime at Malone in early January.
The two teams have only met in the postseason once. It was also a G-MAC Semifinal during the 2016-17 season which was Malone's first season in the G-MAC. The Panthers were victorious 94-72 and went on to defeat Alderson Broaddus in the Championship.
The Panthers
Wesleyan punched their ticket to the semifinals for the fourth time program history and first since the 2016-17 season with a thrilling upset of the No. 1 seed and regular season champion Hillsdale College on Tuesday night. This marks the first time in conference history that the No. 1 seed was eliminated in the first round.
Three Panthers have averaged double figures this season in
Adam Goetz (16.6),
Wyatt Battaile (10.7) and
Zach Hopewell (10.1). Battaile and
Stew Currie pace the team with 5.2 rebounds per game while
Jo Griffin has a team-high 101 assists.
The Pioneers
Malone also pulled an upset in the quarterfinals on Tuesday night, picking up a 73-71 road win at the No. 4 seed Cedarville. It marked the first postseason victory for the Pioneers since the 2016-17 season.
Jaret Majestice paces the team with 16.0 points per game followed by Marcus Ernst at 14.0. Sehill Mouliom and Bo Myers are also averaging in double figures at 13.3 and 12.7 respectively. Ernst is nearly averaging a double-double on the year with a team-high 8.8 rebounds per game. Daylan Haynie has dished out 135 assists on the season.
