NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Kentucky Wesleyan College baseball team split the series finale in Nashville on Sunday afternoon. The Panthers posted a 6-4 victory in game one before falling in game two, 10-1.
Wesleyan moves to 12-14 overall and 7-5 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference while the Trojans sit at 13-13 overall and 7-5 in G-MAC play.
Game 1: KWC 6 – TNU 4 (7 innings)
The Panthers got on the board first with a pair of runs in the third inning. Brayden Sisson recorded a sacrifice fly before Cam Curry tallied an infield single with the bases loaded, driving in Reece Puckett and putting Wesleyan ahead 2-0.
Trevecca led off the bottom of the fourth with a triple and a RBI single to make it a one-run game.
Wesleyan answered back with three straight doubles to lead off the fifth from Lane Kennemore, Joseph Burke and Chase Andrews, scoring two runs. Curry added two more runs with a home run down the right field line for his third home run of the season.

The Trojans scored one run in the fifth and two more in the sixth to cut Wesleyan's lead to two. The potential game-winning run stepped up to the plate in the sixth but the Panthers held on for the win.
Devin Smith moves to 4-0 on the season after going 5.2 innings with eight hits, four runs and striking out seven. Joey Lara faced two batters in the sixth, allowing one run. Alex Franzen picked up his third save of the season, throwing the final inning and giving up one hit.
Andrews, Curry and Ben Wilcoxson all finished game one two-for-three at the plate. Curry posted a team-high three RBI's.
Game 2: KWC 1 – TNU 10
Wesleyan struck first again in the series finale, scoring one run in the first. With two on and two out, Curry lined a single to right field, driving in Kennemore.
Trevecca posted three runs in the third before pulling away with five runs in the sixth. The final two runs were scored in the seventh.
Zach Burton moves to 1-2 on the season after going 5.1 innings with five hits, seven runs and five strikeouts. Allen Howe worked an efficient 1.1 innings, forcing the Trojans into three straight fielder 's choices and holding them scoreless.
The Panthers return home this weekend to host Walsh in a four-game series on Saturday and Sunday. First pitch is currently set for 12 pm CT on both days.
