FINDLAY, Ohio - The Kentucky Wesleyan College women's soccer team fell in Great Midwest Athletic Conference action on Thursday afternoon, taking a 6-0 decision against the University of Findlay.
A competitive first half kept the game scoreless as the Panthers held the advantage in shots at 10-5. Wesleyan goalkeeper
Taylor Rentchler made five saves in the first half.
The Oilers scored three goals over a five minute span early in the second half to jump out to a 3-0 lead. Findlay's momentum was too much for Wesleyan to overcome as the Oilers went on to score in the 67th, 82nd and 89th minute. Findlay used a balanced attack as their six goals came from six different players.
Natalie Hinchcliffe led the Panthers with three shots while
Skylar Walden and
Madisyn Hunt both recorded one. Rentchler finished with five saves and two goals against in 53 minutes of action.Â
Kenzie Melton finished the final 36 minutes, allowing four goals and making three saves.
Wesleyan closes out the road trip at Tiffin University on Saturday. The game is set for a 11 am CT start in Tiffin, Ohio.
