LOUISVILLE, KY. - The Kentucky Wesleyan College wrestling team continued its season on Wednesday evening against Bellarmine University. The Knights topped the Panthers 52-0 in a non-conference affair.Â
The Knights are in year three of existence as the Panthers continue through their inaugural season. Bellarmine started the match with four team points at 125 pounds as LaMont Wilson fell to Brandon Lucas 16-6.Â
Andrew Parker and Caleb Craig dropped two narrow matches at 133 and 141 pounds respectively. Parker, competing in his third match this season, fell in a back-and-forth battle to Casey Ragle. The contest was filled with offense and counters, but in the end Parker fell 12-11.Â
Craig was defeated 4-2, extending the Bellarmine lead to 10-0. The Knights picked-up three falls later in the match to shut-out Wesleyan.
The Panthers will continue this season over the weekend at the Cumberland Open.Â
