Panthers Fall in Great Midwest Clash with Cavs

OWENSBORO, KY. – The Kentucky Wesleyan College volleyball team saw its five-game winning streak snapped by Walsh University in straight sets on Friday night. The Panthers saw leads slip away midway through each set in the Great Midwest clash.

The Cavaliers (8-2, 2-0 G-MAC) were effective setting-up the offense throughout, holding a .188 attacking percentage in the opening set and .165 for the contest. The Panthers (5-5, 1-1 G-MAC) trailed by as many as five points in the opener, but bounced back with force. Sierra Morrow's kill brought Wesleyan back to one point, 17-16. However, Walsh ran the table winning the next eight points to end the frame.

Out of the break, Wesleyan was energized, building a 11-8 lead after Julia Moran's kill. The Panthers added another point to take a four-point lead before the Cavaliers rallied.
