Kentucky Wesleyan fell in straight sets on Friday evening (25-13, 25-16, 25-23) to Cedarville in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play at Jones Gym. With the loss, KWC falls to 6-8, (1-2 G-MAC) on the year.
Cedarville controlled the match in the first set and led the entire way. Kentucky Wesleyan had trouble finding their groove and committed 10 errors in the set.
The Panthers were able to hold leads in both the second and third sets, but were unable to hold off Cedarville's late runs to re-gain the lead in both sets. The Yellow Jackets totaled 38 kills in the match to Kentucky Wesleyan's 27.
For KWC, Elizabeth Gober and Sierra Morrow each tallied seven kills in the match. Kylie Foster led the Panthers with 20 assists. Foster, Gober, and Nicole Venema each recorded one service ace.
The Panthers will play again at Jones Gym tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m. against Ohio Valley.
