Football falls to Indianapolis

Kentucky Wesleyan jumped out to a 7-0 lead against visiting Indianapolis in the first five minutes of the opening quarter on Saturday afternoon at Steele Stadium. The Greyhounds then came back with 37 straight points.

DaMarcus Smith threw a 64-yard touchdown pass to Keelan Cole. The first quarter ended in a 7-7 tie. UIndy scored 13 in the second and 17 in the third.

Cole caught four passes for 79 yards and Travion Tucker had five for 34 yards. Josiah Isreal posted eight carries for 25 yards. Smith connected on eight of 28 completions for 97 yards.

The Panthers (0-4) host Central State (Ohio) on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 1 p.m. for Homecoming.
