Volleyball opens up G-MAC play at Malone on Friday

Kentucky Wesleyan will travel to Ohio to open up conference play with two G-MAC matches on Friday and Saturday this weekend. The Panthers (5-5) have won three consecutive matches, and will look to get off to a strong start in conference play. The first match on Friday is against Malone at 6 p.m. CT, who is 3-9 on the year, while the second match on Saturday is against Ursuline at noon CT. The Arrows hold an 8-5 overall record.

KWC is coming off a doubleheader sweep over Salem International and West Virginia Wesleyan.

Coach Eric Hagan spoke about his team's performance last weekend in West Virginia. "We were able to execute most of the things that we wanted to do, and I'm proud of them for doing that. We're also letting go of errors quicker. It was a long trip, but it was two good wins."

Hagan also discussed the two conference-opening matches this weekend. "I expect to win both of those matches. We've been able to watch film on both teams, and we feel good about what we want to do this weekend. Malone has some height at the net, and Ursuline has been playing really well. Both of these matches will certainly be tough.

It's all about execution, and that's one thing that we've really been focusing on in practice this week."
