Kentucky Wesleyan will travel to Grand Rapids, Mich. for a Saturday afternoon matchup against the Davenport Panthers. Kickoff is currently set for 11 a.m. CT. KWC is 0-2 on the year, while Davenport is 1-2.
The Panthers are most recently coming off a 35-21 loss at home to Davidson.
Keelan Cole received G-MAC honors on Monday after winning G-MAC Offensive and Special Teams Player Of The Week. Cole is in first place in the nation among all of division two in receiving yards with 375. He is second in the nation averaging 187.5 yards per game. Cole leads the Panthers' offense with four touchdown receptions.
Kentucky Wesleyan as a team is scoring 25 points per contest. KWC's passing attack led by Damarcus Smith, is averaging nearly 300 yards per game through the air. Smith has currently thrown for 597 yards in two games, and is completing 45% of his passes on the year. He also leads the Panthers in rushing yards per game. All four of his touchdown passes have been caught by Keelan Cole.
Defensively, Kentucky Wesleyan has six players who have made at least 10 tackles. Ty-Martin Miles leads the Panthers with 15 tackles, which ranks third overall in the G-MAC. D.Mo Crawford holds a team-high 3.5 tackles for loss. Travell Brown and Colton Billups have each recorded one interception apiece.
