NASHVILLE-- After dropping two games on Friday, Kentucky Wesleyan bounced back nicely in Nashville on Saturday with two wins against Trevecca in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play. The Panthers won game one 12-7, and took game two 6-4. Kentucky Wesleyan finishes the regular season with a record of (34-15, 19-5 G-MAC). The Panthers also are now tied for the most wins in a single season in program history with 34.

Game one
Kentucky Wesleyan jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. The Panthers never trailed in the contest.
Kentucky Wesleyan started things off in the top of the first, after
Troy Paris knocked a double to right center scoring
Cody Bridges.
Nathan Stemle and Paris would both score off wild pitches later on in the inning for the 3-0 lead.
Trevecca scored one run in the bottom of the first. The Panthers still had things rolling offensively in the top of the second. Stemle's single through the left side scored two runs, as
Seth Campbell and
Tyler Shewmaker crossed the plate.
The Panthers led 6-1 heading into the bottom of the third inning. Trevecca would cut into the deficit in the next two innings, and eventually tied the game up at 6-6 heading into the fifth inning of play.
Cody Bridges hit a sacrifice fly to score
Jeremy Cline in the fifth inning. Campbell connected on a double down the left field line scoring
Andrew Kirkland in the sixth.
Holding a 9-7 advantage going into the seventh,
Adam Brown crushed a three-run homerun to left field to put the Panthers back up comfortably at 12-7.
Altogether, KWC as a team connected on 16 hits.
Cody Bridges,
Nathan Stemle, and
Troy Paris each finished with two RBI's apiece. Brown led the Panthers in RBI's with three after his homerun. Brown, Stemle, and
Tyler Shewmaker each collected three hits in the contest.
Troy Paris had another impressive game at the plate, and produced four hits.
Austin Tibbs started on the mound, and threw the first 3.1 innings of the game.
Andrew Moralez came in for the next 1.2 innings of play and struck out two. Moralez recorded the win, and received his third victory of the year.
Ryan Hundley registered his fifth save of the season, as he pitched the remainder of the contest.

Game two
The Panthers struck first again, this time with three runs in the top of the second.
Jeremy Cline got things started for KWC with a double down the left field line scoring
Tyler Shewmaker for the 1-0 advantage. Later on in the inning,
Tyler Walsh hit an RBI double scoring Cline from second.
Seth Campbell hit an RBI single to score Walsh as Kentucky Wesleyan led 3-0.
The Panthers gave up a solo homerun in the bottom half of the second to make it 3-1. The game score remained the same until the bottom of the fifth inning.
In the bottom of the fifth, Trevecca scored three runs to go ahead 4-3.
KWC bounced back in the top of the eighth, as
Seth Campbell and
Nathan Stemle each hit RBI singles in the inning, and the Panthers re-took the lead at 5-4.
In the ninth, Shewmaker hit a sacrifice fly to left, which allowed Snodgrass to tag up and score easily from third.
Campbell finished with a 2-3 performance and two RBI's.
Adam Brown,
Jeremy Cline, and
Cody Bridges each collected two hits in the second game.
Nate Verst started the second game on the mound. Verst went 4.2 innings, and struck out five.
Evan Mohr pitched the next 2.1 innings and came away with the win. Mohr is still perfect this year with a 5-0 record.
Ryan Hundley pitched the final two innings, and recorded his sixth save of the season.
Kentucky Wesleyan will next play in the G-MAC Championship tournament beginning next week.
