The Kentucky Wesleyan baseball team took two more games on Sunday afternoon at home over Davis & Elkins to sweep the series. The Panthers won game one 5-0, and took game two 10-7. It now marks the second straight series sweep for Kentucky Wesleyan, and the Panthers improve their winning streak to now 11 straight games.
KWC's record on the year is now (20-10, 11-1 G-MAC), and is 16-3 this season at Panther Park.
The Panthers' pitching and defense got the job done in game one, as Zach Burton continued to impress from the mound with his sixth win of the season. Burton went the distance going all seven innings, and struck out eight batters in total, and completed the shutout. The Senators only picked up two hits off Burton in the game.
Kentucky Wesleyan didn't score until the fifth inning. Cody Bridges brought home Andrew Kirkland off an RBI single to give the Panthers the 1-0 advantage.
In the seventh, KWC would score four insurance runs to give Burton a comfortable lead heading into the final half inning.
Cody Bridges led the Panthers with two RBI's in the game. Troy Paris collected two hits and an RBI, and Andrew Kirkland scored twice in the contest. Seth Campbell also had a triple. Â The Panthers as a team only finished with seven hits in the first game.

In game two, Kentucky Wesleyan started the game off with a bang. Troy Paris drilled a three-run homerun to quickly put the Panthers ahead 3-0.
However, Davis & Elkins would score six runs to re-take the lead after the first inning at 6-3. The Panthers would respond with three more runs in the top of the second to even the game back up at 6-6.
Paris had a huge day, and continued it with an RBI double in the second. Jeremy Cline would later hit a two run RBI double to even score.
Kentucky Wesleyan re-took the lead in the top of the third off an RBI single from Adam Brown. The Senators wouldn't go away easily, and evened the game back up at 7-7 after scoring a run in the bottom of the fourth.
After the fourth, KWC held D&E scoreless the rest of the way. The Panthers added two more runs in the top of the fifth, off a Jacob Snodgrass RBI double, and a sacrifice fly from Jeremy Cline. In the sixth, Troy Paris hit another RBI double, scoring Cody Bridges to put the Panthers ahead 10-7. KWC left 14 runners on base in the second game.
For the game, Paris finished 5-5 with five RBI's and four runs scored. Cody Bridges picked up two hits, and Cline recorded three RBI's.
Evan Mohr, Aaron Hendrickson, Ryan Bailey, Austin Tibbs, and Ryan Hundley all pitched in the game. Mohr got the start, but Hendrickson quickly came in and pitched 2.1 innings in relief. He struck out four.
Bailey registered the win off four innings of work. Tibbs came in for the eighth inning, and Hundley closed the deal in the ninth, to collect the save for the second time this season.
Kentucky Wesleyan will host Southern Indiana on Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Panther Park.
