Women's basketball hosts Trevecca Nazarene tonight

The Kentucky Wesleyan women's basketball team will host G-MAC opponent Trevecca on Friday evening at the Sportscenter at 5:30 p.m. The Panthers (13-7, 6-3 G-MAC) are coming off of a blowout win over Oakland City on Tuesday, where they defeated the Mighty Oaks 78-51. The Panthers are 8-2 in home contests this season. Kentucky Wesleyan is currently in third place in the G-MAC standings.

In the first meeting, Trevecca knocked off Kentucky Wesleyan 54-49 in the first meeting back in January. KWC as a team shot just 17-63 from the field throughout the entire game. The Panthers also shot only 3-28 from three point range. 49 is the second lowest amount of points Kentucky Wesleyan has been held to in a single-game this season.

Jennifer Walker-Crawford and Brittany Wells have both led KWC is scoring this season in every game this season besides three. Walker-Crawford led the Panthers' offense on Tuesday with 11 points. Seven Panther players are scoring at least five points each game. Kentucky Wesleyan as a team is scoring 65.8 points per game, and are holding opponents to 60 points each game. Walker-Crawford leads the Panthers in rebounding with six each game. Bria Wright leads the team with 28 steals this year.

The Panthers are 7-1 this season when they shoot over 40% from the field as a team. In Kentucky Wesleyan's six other losses, the Panthers shot less than 35% from the floor, including four losses where they shot inside the 20% mark.

Trevecca is (5-14, 4-5 G-MAC) this year. The Trojans are currently on a three game losing streak heading into Friday's contest. Sarah Raby and Paige Baugher are both scoring in double figures for the Trojans this season. Trevecca as a team is scoring 63 points per game, and is giving up 75 points each game to opponents. Trevecca also is committing 16 turnovers a game.
