OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Kentucky Wesleyan College Department of Athletics invites all parents, alumni and fans to the upcoming watch party on Dec. 31 at CYO Brewing Co. located in downtown Owensboro.  The Panthers will battle non-conference foe Michigan Tech with tip-off scheduled at 1 pm in Houghton, Mich.  There will be an area reserved upstairs available to Kentucky Wesleyan alumni, parents and friends of Wesleyan as the headquarters during basketball season.
 
Michigan Tech (5-6) has won two of their last three games after stumbling to a 1-3 start.  A GLIAC member institution, the Huskies knocked off future Great Midwest Athletic Conference members Ohio Dominican and Hillsdale before dropping a heartbreaking 72-70 decision against conference foe, Findlay on Dec. 17.  A formidable regional opponent, Michigan Tech has advanced to the National Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament in three of the last four years.

Kentucky Wesleyan (9-2) has reeled off seven-straight victories while riding a 37-game home winning streak, which is the second longest in the country.  The Panthers, who received votes in the National Association of Basketball Coaches Top-25 poll for the second-straight week, are coming off a thrilling 74-73 win over Truman St. to win the Super 8 Wesleyan Way Invitational on Dec. 17.

Watch Parties are the place to be when fans aren't able to travel to the road games. The selected restaurant will host watch parties for every Panthers away game, during the regular season.  The host of each watch party event will provide appetizers and will give back 10% of the day's sales to support the Kentucky Wesleyan athletic department through the Panther Athletic Fund.
