How it happened
A quick start propelled the Panthers to an early advantage. Brittany Wells scored five of the first nine for the Panthers, who led 9-3 in the first four minutes.

KWC added on to their lead after Shayla Wright knocked down a three, and then Bria Wright connected on a fast-break jumper for a 14-3 lead. A transition layup by Wells gave KWC a 21-13 lead at halftime.

A 13-3 run to begin the quarter saw KWC extend the lead to 36-16. The Mighty Oaks' offense caught rhythm late in the quarter and used a 12-4 run to close the gap at 44-34 at the break.

Oakland City managed to trim the lead down to five at 48-43, but they would never get any closer than that.

Each team traded baskets momentarily, and Jennifer Walker-Crawford scored the final points of the third to give KWC a 66-57 lead.

The Panthers' busted open the game with a 10-3 run to start the fourth. KWC remained out in front and out of danger in the final minutes of the fourth.
