Panthers swept at Trevecca

Trevecca Nazarene defeated Kentucky Wesleyan in straight sets in Nashville on Wednesday evening in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play. Wednesday's match was the final regular season conference match for the Panthers.

Kentucky Wesleyan dropped the first set 25-22, the second 25-17, and the final set 25-23. The Panthers are now 10-14, (4-6 G-MAC) on the year. KWC will wrap up their regular season at home on Friday night at Jones Gym against Brescia. The Panthers defeated the Bearcats in five sets earlier in the season. The match is set for a 7 p.m. start.

Kentucky Wesleyan held a lead for the majority of the final set and were even with the Trojans at 22-22. Trevecca would win the final three points of the set to win the match.

Freshman Sierra Morrow posted a team-high eight kills in the loss. Jaylen McEwen tallied seven kills, and Kylie Foster, who led the Panthers' offense once again, recorded 15 assists.

Gabrielle Gallois also notched seven kills in the loss. Courtney Gildea registered a season-high 13 assists, and Hannah Pierece collected a team-high and season-high 17 digs. Kristina Canary issued two block-assists.
