Football takes on Alderson Broaddus on Saturday in season finale

With a G-MAC Championship on the line, Kentucky Wesleyan will look to end the season on a positive note with a road trip to Alderson Broaddus. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. CT. The Panthers are now 3-7 on the season, and have won two consecutive games. Kentucky Wesleyan is most recently coming off of a 40-30 victory over Malone on Saturday in Owensboro in the Panthers' first conference game.  The winner of Saturday's game will be crowned G-MAC champions.

Alderson Broaddus enters Saturday with a record of 8-2. The Battlers' have won six straight games, and are coming off of a 34-17 win over the University of Charleston. AB averages 22 points per game, but is holding down opponents to just 12 points per contest.

As for the Panthers, their season averages continue to improve. Offensively, the Panthers are scoring 21 points, and give up 36 defensively.

Keelan Cole and Michael Malone each won conference weekly awards, after their impressive performances on Saturday. Cole tallied 295 all-purpose yards on Saturday in the Panthers' 40-30 victory over Malone. He also returned a 98-yad kickoff to put the Panthers on the board in the first quarter. Offensively, Cole had a huge day with five catches for 181 yards and three touchdowns, including a 75-yard touchdown reception.

Malone led the Panthers with 16 total tackles, (eight solo, eight assisted) and seemed to be everywhere on the field making a play. He also recorded one sack, and 1.5 tackles for loss in the victory.

The Panthers' offense has been on a tear the past two games. Quarterback Mike McGee has thrown nine touchdowns, and running back Josiah Israel has ran for 354 yards in his past two contests and two touchdowns.

KWC's defense has forced eight turnovers in the past two games. Five on interceptions, and three on fumble recoveries. Ty-Martin Miles recorded two fumbles in last weekend's win, including one recovery for a touchdown.
