Box Score Kentucky Wesleyan lost to No. 11 Ashland, 70-14, in Owensboro on Saturday afternoon.
Ashland scored the first 49 points before the Panthers got on the scoreboard.
Keelan Cole caught an 85-yard pass from Mike McGee at the 12:55 mark in the third quarter and Cole Woodburn kicked the extra point.
The Eagles then scored 14 more points to end the third at 63-7.
Jacob Yates scored the Panther's second touchdown on a one-yard run with 11:06 remaining in the four. Woodburn added KWC's final point. Ashland scored one more time to settle on the final tally.
Mike McGee made his first career start for the Panthers, and connected on 16 of 23 passes for 292 yards. Travion Tucker caught six passes for 125 yards and Keelan Cole had three passes for 112.
Ahmad Mitchell rushed for 19 times for 24 yards. Cole also accumulated 289 all-purpose yards.
The Panthers (1-7) travel to Alfred, New York to play Alfred State next Saturday at noon CT.
