Kentucky Wesleyan will play host to Davis & Elkins on Friday evening at 7 p.m. and will take on Alderson Broaddus on Saturday at 1 p.m. Saturday's match is Senior Day. Kentucky Wesleyan enters the week with an overall record of 8-11. The Panthers are coming off of a four-set victory over Notre Dame College.
Coach Eric Hagan discussed last week's games on the road against Tiffin and Notre Dame College. "Tiffin was a tough match for us. They are a very well coached team, and played up-tempo on us all match. Against Notre Dame, we re-grouped, and bounced back and won the second, third, and fourth sets. I like the way we played, and we got a four-set win, which we hadn't done yet all season."
Hagan spoke about the important conference matches against Davis & Elkins and Alderson Broaddus. "We expect to win both matches, and for us to be in contention for the conference tournament. D&E has good length, and so does AB. These are not going to be easy matches for us, but if we execute like we are capable of I like our chances."
Lastly, Hagan mentioned the three seniors on his team, and what they have meant to the program. "Our three seniors are Emily Yocom, Kaitlyn Groce, and Sarah Swenson. I don't have enough time in the day to talk about how great all three of them have been. We're going to really miss them."
