After dropping a three-set match at home to Cedarville on Friday night, Kentucky Wesleyan turned things around quickly on Saturday afternoon, with a three-set sweep over Ohio Valley. The Panthers won the match 25-15, 25-23, 25-21. With the victory, Kentucky Wesleyan improves to 7-8, (2-2 G-MAC) on the year.

KWC started off slow in the first set, but got things going quickly. The Panthers knotted the set up at 12-12 before taking over. Kentucky Wesleyan won seven consecutive points to build a 19-12 advantage. Sierra Morrow finished off the set with a kill.

In the second set, Kentucky Wesleyan trailed 5-1, but were able to even things up at 6-6. From that point on in the set, neither team built a lead of larger than two points. The Panthers found themselves down 23-21 before rattling off four straight points to take the set. Elizabeth Gober's kill won the set for the Panthers.

The third set was another tight one, and KWC yet again got off to a slow start. After trailing 17-13 later on in the set, Kentucky Wesleyan re-grouped at tied it up at 17-17. The set was tied at 21-21 before the Panthers caught fire and won the last four points of the match. Morrow put away the final kill for KWC.

Mallory Sacre and Audrey Baysinger led Kentucky Wesleyan with eight kills each. Elizabeth Gober also recorded seven kills. Kylie Foster posted 25 kills, and Hannah Pierce notched a team-high eight digs.

The Panthers registered a season-high 18 block-assists. Autumn Harris led the way with seven block-assists, while Foster collected five. Sierra Morrow gathered a season-high four service aces too.

Kentucky Wesleyan will play at home against Trevecca on Tuesday evening at Jones Gym. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m. CT.
