Box Score 2 Kentucky Wesleyan closed the softball season with a 25-15 record after competing in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship on Thursday. The Panthers fell to Davis & Elkins 3-1 and again to Trevecca Nazarene 4-0.

In the D&E contest, the Senators jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the second inning before the Panthers responded in the fifth. MacKenzie Weedman hit a single to right field to send
Alexis Chapman home for their only run. D&E added one more in the sixth for final score.

Josalyn Ress (11-7) received the loss. She threw a complete seven inning game with three strikeouts and no walks

The afternoon game saw the Trojans score four runs in the second inning as the Panthers could not score.
Casey Smith (11-6) fanned three batters with no walks and gave up seven hits in six innings.
Jessica Carmon pitched the final inning.
