Box Score Hoping to build momentum from a walk-off win on Saturday, Kentucky Wesleyan softball played Grand Valley State in the final game of the Lewis Dome Invitational.
Grand Valley (4-1) would score five in the fourth, two in the fifth and four in the sixth and hold KWC (5-6) to just three runs, winning 11-3 in six innings.Â
Ashley Crooke,
Amber Pendergraft and
Samantha Marksbury all had RBI's for KWC, as the Panthers finished with just five hits in the contest.
Josalyn Ress started and was the loser in the game, going 3.2 innings, allowing five hits and five runs (two earned) with two strikeouts.Â
Casey Smith and
Jessica Carmon finished the game for the Panthers, with Carmon throw two-thirds of an inning allowing just a single hit.
KWC has the next weekend off and they return to the field for their home opener on March 7 against Missouri S&T. First pitch is scheduled for noon CT.
